This double ended tool has a pointed end for cut pile with a wider conical surface behind the point. On tall cut pile, the narrow point penetrates deep within the row, while the wider conical surface spreads the tufts. The opposite end is bevelled and rounded for spreading loops on loop pile and Berber carpets without snagging. This tool will effectively open and spread rows for reduced shearing of carpet nap by the seam cutter. Machined from solid steel, and nickel plated.

The turning tool has a bent leg for tucking carpet under "Z" Bar. Push the point to the back of the "Z" bar, then run the point down the length. The tool will tuck as it moves along the "Z" bar. The angled leg offsets the handle from the floor to keep knuckles from rubbing on the carpet. The tool is also useful for light carpet stretching in cramped areas, such as around toilets. Insert the sharp high carbon steel point into the gripper rods and lift to stretch.

The sharp, high-carbon steel point penetrates the carpet's backing for fast removal from the tack strip. It can also be used for light carpet stretching in tight areas, such as around toilets. Press the point into the tack strip and lift to stretch the carpet. The point has an opposite flat end seated in the top of the hard plastic handle for hammering when necessary. Handle is rounded to fit the palm comfortably.
