The Versa-Cutter is our most versatile and durable carpet cutter. It takes utility blades, slotted razor blades, or Crain 300Y Loop Pile Blades. When used with utility or Crain 300Y blades, it cuts smoothly from the carpet’s backing, and will not shear yarns. Springs on either side of the cutter hold the carpet down as it is being cut. The thin steel row guide follows in the rows of carpet. The steel foot plate fastened on the base reduces wear and extends the life of the cutter. Two large thumb knobs allow simple, fast blade changes. Slotted & H/D Straights blades available come in a box of 100 rapped in oiled paper, the punched hole Straight Blades come in pack of 10.

Crain 303 Loop Pile Cutter

This cutter has a base for cutting over pad or other carpet that protects the material underneath. The blade carrier is adjustable in height so you can lock the beveled guide at just the right position to follow in the rows. The cutter has dual blade pockets on left and right sides, and a large thumb knob that tightens to lock in the blades. For best results, trim WITH (in the direction of) the nap sweep of the carpet. Beginning at a starting point on the left side of the seam, trim with a blade down on the left side of the cutter. Return to this same starting point on the right side of the carpet and trim with the blade down on the same (left) side of the cutter, moving down the seam in the same direction. This procedure simulates the factory spacing of the carpet's rows on most carpets. When necessary, to trim both edges as close as possible to the tufts, trim the right side of the seam with a blade down on the right side, then for the left side retract the right blade and trim with the left blade down. Slotted blades available come in box of 100 rapped in oiled paper

Crain 302 Cushion Lock Cutter

This cutter trims seam edges for better seams. The precision blade pockets on both left and right sides hold the slotted razor blades without screws. The 30° blade angle cuts attached cushion carpets cleanly. The front guide is bevelled to follow the carpet's rows. The soft grip handle provides comfort and control. For best results, trim WITH (in the direction of) the nap sweep of the carpet. Beginning at a starting point on the left side of the seam, trim with the left blade down in the direction of the nap sweep. Return to this same starting point on the right side of the carpet and trim with the left blade down in the same direction. This procedure simulates the factory spacing of the carpet's rows on most carpets.
